Our Girls horse camp was a great success this past summer. The girls riding ability ranged the spectrum. Each Girl was perfectly matched with a horse that was just enough of a challenge to keep her attention. The horsemanship skills improved dramatically through the week. The chemistry was outstanding, girls made lifelong friends as a result of the camp. The older girls were so good to the younger girls—it made for a great week!

Susan Landram supervises the kitchen and teaches bible lessons. She spends an enormous amount of time in preparation for the bible study and is gifted in making the week a week to remember. Her attention to details with the lessons, gifts and food helps to make the week special for the girls.

Our trail ride at the end of the week up Joseph Creek was a big hit as the girls played in the river and then road the Elk Refuge. Some of the girls saw wild turkey’s. We are planning a longer better ride on Asotin Creek this next summer.

The water activities were a blast! The girls fished, kayaked, swam, rode the tube and went through the rapids in the boat. In the middle of the hot day, the cool river was a welcome break.

A new addition to our camp this summer will be the addition of working cattle. We will have 6-10 yearlings brought in and the girls will learn how to move the cattle under control into a pen---should be a blast. I can’t wait for next summer.
